The 35th annual Unity College 5-Kilometer Road Race – typically a precursor to the start of warmer weather – welcomed 31 runners and one walker to the small Maine town on Saturday morning, April 22. And while there was no cake for the winner, it was unnecessary, with the winner being 39-year-old Judson Cake of Bar Harbor. Cake, one of the state's premier runners, motored through the 3.1-mile course and finished with a time of 17 minutes and 29 seconds.
