A A The Monroe community is planning a benefit dinner for Becky Parker, our Transfer Station Manager and former Monroe Saltworks employee, who has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer which has metastasized to her liver.

Parts of the former Cadillac Motor Inn on Main Street in Bar Harbor will be demolished starting July 5 to make way for expansion and/or relocation of some of Mount Desert Island Hospital’s administration offices.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust will be hosting a Customer Appreciation Day at each of its branch locations over the course of the summer.

The following people were booked recently into the Hancock County Jail. June 13 Christina Ann Richards, 33, of Ellsworth, drug court sanction.
