Joshua Radford of Mount Desert, was recently named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2010-2011 academic year.

Despite the cruise ship committee’s recommendation that no funds be allocated for environmental monitoring in the fiscal 2012 budget, the Bar Harbor Town Council narrowly voted to allocate $8,000 for monitoring in the proposed budget.

Local artist Roc Caivano will be exhibiting his work during the Jesup Memorial Library’s February Art Exhibit.
