Bar Harbor: American beauty

You really earn your supper when you sit down for an authentic Maine lobster dinner, especially when all 560g of it arrives at the table straight from the pot. When the star of the show was plonked down in front of us at Stewman's Lobster – or “lobstah” as they say in the local accent – Pound restaurant in the charming seaside village of Bar Harbor, it was quickly clear just how much work there was to do to get through that tough red shell to the tasty flesh inside.
