The Mount Desert Island volleyball team took the court only once last week, but the match proved Trojans’ biggest challenge of the season, as the islanders squared off against Bucksport Sept. 28 in a competitive home affair.
It was the first time the undefeated Trojans have been pushed to five games in a match this fall, but they did just enough to outlast the Golden Bucks and pull out a 3-2 victory.
