William “Billy” Porter of Southwest Harbor is once again remembered by a display of Jack o’ Lanterns on the bridge at Bass Harbor Marsh. Porter was 38 when he was struck and killed by a car at the bridge in 1997. The carved pumpkins are an annual celebration of his memory by friends and family.
