The Mount Desert Island girls cross-country team has a pack mentality, and that philosophy served the talented, deep Trojans well all season, especially in the squad’s most important race.
The Trojans placed their five scoring runners among the top 14 finishers Saturday afternoon to outdistance the field and capture the state Class B championship at the Twin Brook Recreational Facility.
