Viking Inc., the subcontractor that provided materials for a roofing job at Tremont Consolidated School, has filed a lien on the school property until the town of Tremont pays the more than $25,000 that Viking said it is due.

The Tremont Board of Selectmen was apprised of the situation at its Nov. 7 meeting, when the board learned that the town had received a letter, dated Nov. 3, from an attorney for Viking.
