Santa and Mrs. Claus made their first appearance on Mount Desert Island this holiday season, delivered to the village green in Bar Harbor by a pair of handsome black steeds.

With a big smile visible from under his beard of white and plenty of “ho, ho, hos,” Santa was mobbed by children from the moment he stepped down from the carriage onto Firefly Lane.
