AOS #91 board discusses possible middle school sports consolidation

The state of most of the middle school athletic teams in the Mount Desert Island Regional School System was a major topic of discussion during the Jan. 9 meeting of the AOS #91board. At issue was the fact that with the exception of Conners Emerson School, a shortage of student athletes in the district’s schools will make those schools unable to field teams in many sports.
