Rooming house ordinance stalled to allow for temporary, emergency housing

The proposed ordinance to define, set standards for and regulate rooming houses in the Bar Harbor Land Use Ordinance and code was shelved by the Bar Harbor Town Council on Jan. 18 after councilors learned the YWCA of MDI would have fallen out of compliance with the town code with passage of the ordinance.
