The Bar Harbor Wastewater Division crew, while on regular maintenance rounds to the Albert Meadow pump station on Jan. 17, noticed a public works project underway that was not on the town’s agenda. They discovered Gouldsboro residents Robert Stanley and Morris Young conducting a salvage operation, dismantling and removing sections of the town’s cast iron emergency outflow pipe from the end of the town park.
