The Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation received funds through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Fishing for Energy Program, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Marine Debris Program in 2011-2013 to recover, document and properly dispose of derelict fishing gear.
