As the town hermit, Skelly Mannor (Max Swann) creeps through the woods, the 14-year-old Eva (Axis Fuksman-Kumpa) and her 18-year-old friend, Robert (Noah Davis), dream of flying away from the brooding darkness of their hometown.
The woods are humans, standing still and straight, their backs turned toward the audience. As the scene becomes more sinister, their voices are raised in an amorphous dirge.
