Despite a last-minute mathematical adjustment, a public hearing on January 26 on a proposed 3.9 acre experimental aquaculture site in Mill Pond, Brooksville, clearly outlined findings that there wasn’t enough water flow to sustain cultivation. Thomas P. Atherton, of Bucksport, seeks to grow 1.5 million oysters and 1.5 million clams in the shallow tidal waters using suspended and bottom growing methods.
