Island artists and writers whose work is included in this summer's 10th annual edition of “The Island Reader” were honored at a brief afternoon ceremony on July 2 at the Islesboro Historical Society. The setting was Islesboro's Student Art Show, an annual event that showcases the work of student artists who attend Islesboro Central School; and kicks off the historical society's summer series of eight art shows held during July and August.
