Cushing Historical Society's Arts in the Barn series will showcase aerial photography by Lawreston Crute and pottery by Gayle Bedigian Friday through Sunday, Aug. 5 through 7. The show will open Friday with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception and continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crute is a Cushing native who specializes in photos from land, sea and air and has documented much of the coast of Maine. Since 1960, he has been involved in radio broadcasting; performing many theatrical roles as a singer and character actor; and also retail.
