Judith Blank holds a portrait of her late husband, Steve Alsup, at the Bar Harbor home the couple built mostly from repurposed materials. Their son, Josh Alsup, wanted to let young blacksmiths know the story of his dad’s life who was a well-known blacksmith on Mount Desert Island and beyond.
