Acadia National Park’s Teacher–Ranger program gives classroom teachers an opportunity to connect with different teaching resources in a park. The program focuses on teachers from schools with ethnically diverse or underserved student populations who have had limited experience with national parks. Participating teachers are provided with a ranger uniform, shared housing if needed, and supplemental pay.
