Cromwell Brook in Bar Harbor is swollen with rain and runoff from melting snow Monday afternoon.. Unseasonably warm temperatures – which approached the 50 degree Fahrenheit mark – and heavy rains March 6 and 7 caused rapid melting for the Mount Desert Island area, leading to swollen streams and lightly flooded roads in places.
