At its Oct. 25 meeting, the Mount Desert Island League of Towns decided that a joint study of optimal cellphone tower siting might be a good idea.
But, given the fact that it was a cellphone service provider, AT&T, that proposed to do the study on behalf of the league’s member towns and Acadia National Park, league members stressed that their agreement to the study did not commit them to any outcome.
