Documentary filmmaker screening and talk: Gwich’in Women Speak by Miho Aida

Documentary filmmaker Miho Aida will complete a 1,000-mile bicycle ride from Washington, D.C. in Bar Harbor on Sunday, July 19, commencing her journey with a talk and film screening at Reel Pizza Cinerama in Bar Harbor on Sunday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. “Gwich’in Women Speak,” is about the plight of natives in Arctic Village above the Arctic Circle who are dependent on a protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for subsistence. The film is approximately 20 minutes and Aida will speak for about 60 minutes, including time for questions and answers.
