Federal probe shows helicopter that crashed in Whitefield in 2014 did not run out of gas

Reports by the National Transportation Safety Board and Rolls-Royce about a helicopter crash in Whitefield in May 2014 say examinations found no anomalies that would have prevented normal operation of the aircraft. An OH-58A+ helicopter owned by Maine Helicopters Inc. crashed on May 30, 2014, in the woods about one nautical mile from the company’s Whitefield location off Route 218, according to Brian Rayner, an investigator with the NTSB.
