The Bar Harbor Fire Station opens its bay doors on May 17 and dozens of hungry pancake lovers will be there to devour food in the fire house, and we want you to be there! This new fundraiser, hosted by the Bar Harbor Fire Department and Bar Harbor Rotary Club will transform the fire house into a fundraising food fest while raising money to support this October’s Bar Harbor Kids‘ Book Festival where over 40 children’s authors and illustrators will journey throughout Mount Desert Island interacting with kids, future writers, and the community in an event that is sure to inspire kids and grown-ups to write, read, and create books.
