Two days after Oct. 1’s heavy rains doused Mount Desert Island, Route 102A at Seawall remained hard to traverse, due to the usual flooding conditions that overtake this particular dip in the road. Motorists on the scenic route, which leads from Southwest Harbor to Bass Harbor, were observed taking the warning sign to heart and turning around without attempting to slosh through the overflow.
