The Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival kicked off Friday night, Dec. 9, at the Great Harbor Maritime Museum where folks enjoyed live music and an array of soups, baked goods and hot chocolate. Santa and Mrs. Claus were on hand to visit with children, and proceeds from the festival were destined to help pay for fuel for residents in Mount Desert.
