The Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce hosted members of the Bar Harbor Chamber for an Island tour on October 8. Island chamber board vice president Ron Dahlen and members Charlotte Davis and Bill Mitchell led the tour, meeting three Bar Harbor chamber members at the welcome center on Little Deer Isle before taking them for visits to Nervous Nellie’s Jams and Jellies, Penobscot East Resource Center and Fisherman’s Friend restaurant. “They seemed to really like the Island,” Dahlen said during an October 13 meeting of the Chamber board of directors at Stonington Town Hall.
