Gov. Paul LePage and his wife, first lady Ann LePage, visited Southwest Harbor boatbuilder Richard Stanley at Stanley’s shop, Great Harbor Boatworks, on Oct. 21.
Toward the end of the hour-long, Friday morning visit, LePage told Stanley that he’d like to apprentice for him when he gets done with his current job as governor, said Stanley’s wife, Lorraine.
