The Beatrix Farrand Society recently received a donation of a framed oil painting of a long-lost garden that Beatrix Farrand designed for Louisa Morgan Satterlee in 1921. This garden, located on Great Head, was destroyed in the 1947 fire. The painting depicts the flower garden in midsummer and was probably done in the 1930s.
