The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill prohibiting the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating the discharges of small marine vessels, according to a press release from the office of U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine.
The legislation, included in the recent Coast Guard Reauthorization Bill, was based on a temporary exemption for fishing boats co-sponsored by Pingree last year.
