The Mount Desert Island indoor track team kicked off the 2011-12 season as the Penobscot Valley Conference’s Eastern Maine Indoor Track League hosted a meet Dec. 17 at the University of Maine Field House.
The Trojans proved competitive throughout the meet, but ultimately the MDI boys brought home a seventh-place finish and the MDI girls a fifth-place nod.
