The Mount Desert Island boys and girls swimmers dove into the pool Dec. 16 in hopes of picking up early-season victories against Hampden Academy and the Trojans did that with a pair of convincing wins over the visiting Broncos.
The MDI girls earned 10 first-place finishes for a 125-50 win, while the MDI boys received five first-place finishes to prevail 125-66.
