Jeff Nolan ran, pedaled and paddled to first place Oct. 8 as the Mount Desert Island Lions Club hosted its 15th annual Acadia Triathlon at Long Pond.
The triathlon consisted of a four-mile run, 14-mile bike and four-mile kayak or canoe paddle. It was a fundraiser for the Lions Club, which has served MDI for more than 76 years. The club hosts events to raise money to support causes on the island.
