The Bar Harbor Kids Festival hopes to encourage literacy and a celebration of story for children in MDI and Trenton by putting them directly in contact with a lively group of 40 authors who are donating their time for the cause. BAR HARBOR, Maine – In seeking ways to encourage literacy of Trenton and Mount Desert Island students, the YWCA Mount Desert Island has donated $1,200 to the Bar Harbor Kids Book Festival.
