Voters will be asked to approve 62 municipal and 17 education articles totaling $7.93 million dollars at town meeting on April 2. Included are articles amending the telecommunications tower ordinance, enacting a new floodplain management ordinance, adopting an official town fairy tale, selling two tax-acquired properties to their former owners and approving an interest-free loan for school repairs. All of this could-or could not-lead to a lengthy town meeting, but the Blue Hill Consolidated School seventh graders have it covered either way, with a turkey-and-all-the-fixings lunch to either provide a break or, if articles move along in shotgun procession, mark the finish.
