Ten “United States presidents” were on hand at Trenton Elementary School Feb. 14, accompanied by flourishes of “Hail to the Chief” and surrounded by a coterie of “Secret Service” agents.
It was the school’s 10th annual Presidential Speech Day and second-grade teacher Diane Clark’s class stood on a stage in the gym dressed in period garb and gave speeches, in character, about their lives.
