Deer Isle-Stonington High School Principal Todd West was one of two recipients of the 12th annual Sunbeam Award, which was given by the Maine Seacoast Mission at a gala event in Bar Harbor on August 21. He was picked for the honor for his work at the high school over the past nine years, improving the graduation rate and establishing personalized learning options for students. West wrote in an August 26 email, “I am sincerely humbled to receive this award.
