Schoodic Institute taking over Winter Harbor marina

A building at the Winter Harbor Marina on Sargent Street is being renovated to create office and exhibit space for the Schoodic Marine Center. The Schoodic Institute has signed a 20-year lease on the property so it can have direct access to the ocean and to preserve the marina as a transportation hub for ferry service to Bar Harbor and the Island Explorer bus system.
