Southwest Harbor welcomed Santa Claus to town Friday night, Dec. 9, with a tree-lighting, a bonfire, holiday music and carols and cooking decorating for the young ones after they had shared their Christmas wishes with the man sporting the big, white beard. From the looks of things that night, the holiday season has settled in nicely in this Mount Desert Island community.
