The First will sponsor the Josh Sprague Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 2 at the Mount Desert Island YMCA and Mount Desert Island High School.
Proceeds from the tourney will benefit the MDI YMCA’s Josh Sprague Scholarship Fund. Sprague was involved with the YMCA, where he participated in sports and recreational programs. He died, at age 18, in an automobile accident on March 26, 1999.
