Beth Moya, a frequent visitor to the Tranquility family estate in Hulls Cove, qualified for and competed in the Ironman World Championships Oct. 8 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Moya competed with 1,850 of the world’s best triathletes in the physically and mentally demanding 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile marathon run. The swim is in tough ocean waves and the run on challenging lava-covered terrain.
