After finishing near the bottom of the rankings in both the Penobscot Valley Conference and Big East championships earlier this month, the Mount Desert Island cheering squad traveled to the Bangor Auditorium Jan. 28 for the Eastern Class B championships feeling more confident than it had in the previous competitions.
That confidence, as it turned out, proved to be the difference for the Trojans.
