How about a little anniversary celebration on the run and a famous Moody's Diner whoopie pie as the treat to reward hard work on the special day? That is what organizers of the Waldoboro Day 5-kilometer road race hopes happens for many at its 20th anniversary race/walk on Saturday, June 17. Lucas McNelly and Jake Newcomb have taken the directing duties for the event, sponsored by First National Bank, from George Gould, who previously grabbed the reins from other event directors, including Jeff Sprague, among others.
